Mapping Ocean Change x Cove Park Workshops

Workshops at Cove Park led by artist Jennifer Argo and marine biologists Dr Neil Banas and Professor Michael Heath.

Artist Jennifer Argo and marine biologists Dr Neil Banas and Professor Michael Heath guided workshop groups at Cove Park and a bay of Loch Long, looking at connections that bridge marine wildlife between Scotland and the Arctic Ocean.

The groups mapped food chain connections and migration routes between marine life species from local sea lochs around Cove Park, out to the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, from the smallest organisms, up to megafauna.

They created intricate plankton origami, sketched and photographed organisms under the microscope, and looked at the stories of marine species and ecosystems down by the shore of Loch Long.
