Cove Park Workshop

Afternoon Session

About this event:

MOCA: Mapping Ocean Change through Art

For participants of all ages, children should be accompanied by an adult.

All-day workshop as part of the Cove Park Saturday series, led by artist Jennifer Argo and marine biologist Dr Neil Banas.

Join artist Jennifer Argo and marine biologists Dr Neil Banas and Professor Michael Heath at Cove Park to explore connections that bridge marine wildlife between Scotland and the Arctic Ocean.

We will map food chain connections and migration routes between marine life species from local sea lochs around Cove Park, out to the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, from the smallest organisms, up to megafauna.

We will create intricate plankton origami, sketch and photograph organisms under the microscope, and look at the stories of marine species and ecosystems down by the shore of Loch Long.

A packed lunch
